Tote bags

I have not spent anything like the 70,000 hours of remedial work evidently needed for me to be able to easily access my own photos and subsequently post said photos on my blog (!). But I am prepared to take the plunge and put up two blurry pictures of a couple of tote bags I just finished. My daughters are going to their first slumber party tonight (yes, all three of them), and the party is for two sisters who have literally grown up with my three girls. I am stuffing these little bags (which have been appliqued, lined and lovingly assembled by a woman who almost always decides to bite off more than she can chew, and all at the last minute, of course), with blank diaries, colored pencils, rubber stamps and silly hats -- they are little girls, after all.

I don't know how you people so effortlessly publish your photos and various graphics, but my hat is off to you. If you could know the painful minutes I have spent laboring over these two little pictures, you really would feel quite sorry for me, I'm sure...

First of all the bags are amazing, and I can just see the look on their faces when they discover and explore the contents inside. Great gift idea.

Secondly, I reckon the problem with your photos was the size. If I'm correct, then you need to reduce them before trying to upload them here. Do you use Windows? Then simply right click on the picture in "My Pictures" - click on "edit" - "image" - "stretch/scew" - change both dimensions from 100% to 34% - "save as" - and now your picture file is of an appropriate size to load easily and quickly.

I am zipping around the house right now, getting a few things done before the kids get back from their "night out", but thanks very much for the info. I will sit down with your comment later on and really figure out what I need to do. And thanks for the nice words about my bags. Sewing for others can be a lot like cooking a complicated meal: you work and plan and work some more and then stand back with pride, and then it all DISAPPEARS from view... Perhaps I ought to start taking pics of my fancy meals, so I could relive them later, as well. Tee hee.

These bags are so cute! You could put some up on e-bay (hint, hint) and I would certainly bid on them! Hope you have a great weekend, it's finally nice here and the kids all have spring fever.

P.S. Thanks for the effort of posting the pics, they are eye candy!!! Please keep it coming.

I agree with Rusty Pearl that your files may be a bit large for the site to handle easily. After absent-mindedly shrinking a couple originals permanently, I established a BLOG PIX folder and dumped copies of pix I wanted to post in there ... then I shrank them. A file of 50KB to 80KB is plenty big for the blog site. And often that photo entering page gets persnickety and refuses to accept anything ... maybe due to high demand(?).
